Upload Content from an External URL

If you have content which resides on a publicly available server, such as Dropbox, or even your own website, you can use the "Import file from URL" method of uploading content to Airship.  This is often much faster than downloading content to your PC and uploading it back up to our servers.

Navigate to a folder. Click on (1) "Create". Select (2) "import file from URL" from the drop down menu.

This will expose the area in which you will input external file URLs. You can input multiple links at the same time just be sure to separate the links with commas.

Get a Public Link to Provide to Airship

For example: Dropbox

Find the file you'd like to upload. Right click on the file and select Share link.

Copy the provided link.

Paste the link into your browser and hit enter. Right click on the download button.

Click on "Copy link address".

Paste the copied download link into the appropriate field in airship and click ok.

The new items will be created almost immediately and while your files are ingested into the system you can modify other properties, if you wish.
