Sharing Items with Airship Links

Airship Links differ from App share links in that expiration dates, password protection and other useful access controls are available for you to leverage.

NOTE: Airship Links a configurable feature which is not turned on by default. If you are interested in utilizing this feature, please contact our Customer Success Team.

Within Airship, click on Media (1), and select Media Management (2) from the dropdown.

Navigate to the content for which you'd like to create Airship Links; click on the item name (3) or the Edit icon (4).

Click on the Links tab (5).  Click Create Link (6).

Click on the pencil (7) to edit the title of this link, if desired.  Select the Access (8) level you'd like to assign to this link.  Select the desired Expiration (9) settings.  Click Save (10).

NOTE:

  • If an expiration date is set on the share link, the archive date on the item takes priority over the expiration/visibility rules.
  • If an expiration date time zone is not explicitly set, the time zone will default to that of the user creating the link.
  • Users and groups assigned to the link override the permissions assigned on the underlying content itself.

After saving the link, you will be directed to the Links overview page.  If desired, click the link in the popup to Copy link to clipboard (11).

Otherwise, you may create a pre-populated email for the link (12), copy the share link (13), modify the link (14), or delete the link (15).
