Using the Second Screen Tool (iOS)

The Second Screen tool offers users a host of presentation options.

To use the Second Screen tool, first you must connect your iOS device to another screen and turn on Airplay Mirroring.  You may connect either wirelessly or with a physical cable, and you must be using one of the following iOS devices: iPhone 4S (or later), iPad 2 (or later), iPad mini, or iPod touch (5th generation).

Tap 2nd Screen (1).

The Second Screen menu (2) features three options:

  1. Mirroring - project exactly what is on your mobile screen.  Your audience sees everything on your mobile screen
  2. Second Screen - provide a separate screen, perhaps for notes or controls
  3. Disable - nothing will project, as your screen has been disabled

Note: If you tap the 2nd Screen button before turning on Airplay Mirroring, you will be presented with instructions (3) on how to connect, rather than the options listed above.
